As the Seeker of Truth
- True Vision - When he has an idea something may be an illusion and he focuses on it, he can see through it and see things as they really are. This can occur in dreams, and also extends to things that are invisible, even by magic.
The Sword of Truth
- The sword is magic and taps into Richard's anger to increase his speed, strength, and agility to that "of many men". He also channels the skills and fighting abilities of all the Seekers who wielded the blade before him. When he's angry, the sword glows white, and it glows red when he's filled with rage.
- Richard can use the sword to deflect spells that are cast on him.
- The blade never dulls and cannot be destroyed.
